I have been reading James Patterson novels for years and own a lot of them however the last several I’ve gotten from the library or other sources。 I would like to thank NetGalley for a prerelease copy of this one。 It has lots of crime solving and action for especially Lindsay。Boxer and her husband but I was a little disappointed that the rest of the women in the “club” didn’t have bigger parts and more interaction

The Women’s Murder Club series by James Patterson (and Maxine Paetro, who has co-written the series since number 4) has a lot of fans who will always read the next installment, no matter what。 I started this series years and stopped for some reason around the 8th book (probably just life got in the way), so I was wondering if I could dive right in on number 22 and still enjoy the characters and plot。 James Patterson is a genius thriller writer and yes, it was a great dive and a great book。 Now I The Women’s Murder Club series by James Patterson (and Maxine Paetro, who has co-written the series since number 4) has a lot of fans who will always read the next installment, no matter what。 I started this series years and stopped for some reason around the 8th book (probably just life got in the way), so I was wondering if I could dive right in on number 22 and still enjoy the characters and plot。 James Patterson is a genius thriller writer and yes, it was a great dive and a great book。 Now I feel I can easily go back to books 9-21 whenever I need a reliable good crime novel。Lindsay, Cindy, Claire, and Yuki are the Women’s Murder Club and Lindsay’s husband Joe gets a larger role in this installment。 As with almost all Patterson books, there are over a 100 chapters and each chapter ends with a bump in the suspense。 As police procedurals go, this is still one of the best series around。 4 solid stars!Thank you to Little Brown and Company and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review!Literary Pet Peeve Checklist:Green Eyes (only 2% of the real world, yet it seems like 90% of all fictional females): NO Perhaps the womens’s eye colors were described in past books, but not here。Horticultural Faux Pas (plants out of season or growing zones, like daffodils in autumn or bougainvillea in Alaska): NO The landscape isn’t much of a supporting character。 。。。more

This is the latest book in the Women's Murder Club series。 I have followed and read each of the books in turn。 The plotting is fast-paced and there are plenty of thrills along the way。 However, the story follows a predictable format and I feel that the personality of lead protagonist - Lyndsay Boxer - is becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate from Patterson's other hero, Alex Cross with the main difference being that Cross is an advisor to the FBI whilst it is Lyndsay's husband who fil This is the latest book in the Women's Murder Club series。 I have followed and read each of the books in turn。 The plotting is fast-paced and there are plenty of thrills along the way。 However, the story follows a predictable format and I feel that the personality of lead protagonist - Lyndsay Boxer - is becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate from Patterson's other hero, Alex Cross with the main difference being that Cross is an advisor to the FBI whilst it is Lyndsay's husband who fills this role。This plot was topical, centering on the controversial US gun lobby, and this added to its appeal。 Nevertheless I don't think the most recent stories have the same impact as the earlier books in the series。 。。。more

The Women’s Murder Club is one of my all time favourite police procedural series。 With 22 books so far, it is amazing how each new instalment is as fresh as the last and it has in no way overstayed its welcome。As with all of James Patterson’s books, I don’t even read what they are about anymore。 You know you are going to get a thrilling, action packed and addictive read each and every time and 22 Seconds is no exception。A white knuckle read, 22 Seconds hits the ground running right from the get The Women’s Murder Club is one of my all time favourite police procedural series。 With 22 books so far, it is amazing how each new instalment is as fresh as the last and it has in no way overstayed its welcome。As with all of James Patterson’s books, I don’t even read what they are about anymore。 You know you are going to get a thrilling, action packed and addictive read each and every time and 22 Seconds is no exception。A white knuckle read, 22 Seconds hits the ground running right from the get go and doesn’t stop until the final page。 The plot unfolds around new restrictive gun laws resulting in citizen protests, a Mexican drug cartel, murder and dirty cops。 It really is a very compelling and riveting read。I love all the women that make this series the success that it is, although this time around the focus is more on Lindsay and her husband Joe with the other women taking on smaller roles。 This isn’t a bad thing and even though I did miss the banter of the women, it still works and is a very entertaining and enjoyable read。Thank you to James Patterson, Maxine Paetro,, Random House and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of 22 Seconds, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily。Where you can find me 😊💻 Blog: bit。ly/3gR3io8👩‍🏫 Facebook: bit。ly/3gVeC2B🐤Twitter: bit。ly/3BQk2Dl📷 Instagram: bit。ly/3wSv0Gj📌 Pinterest: bit。ly/3vS2HGX📚 Goodreads: bit。ly/3wQxUM3 。。。more

22 seconds is another brilliant addition to this series with Lindsay and her colleagues having to deal with new gun laws and bad cops along with a Mexican drug cartel。 It’s a tough time for the Woman’s Murder Club, as Claire has to deal with a terrible autopsy of a young girl and Cindy has been tasked with writing about a serial killer。 One of the most difficult times the club has ever gone through but no one is more resilient than these ladies and they will fight for what they believe in。James 22 seconds is another brilliant addition to this series with Lindsay and her colleagues having to deal with new gun laws and bad cops along with a Mexican drug cartel。 It’s a tough time for the Woman’s Murder Club, as Claire has to deal with a terrible autopsy of a young girl and Cindy has been tasked with writing about a serial killer。 One of the most difficult times the club has ever gone through but no one is more resilient than these ladies and they will fight for what they believe in。James Patterson and Maxine Paetro continue to set the bar with their books in this genre of crime。 The story is superbly written, action packed, highly emotional and incredibly addictive。 Another outstanding and brilliant addition to this great series。Fantastic as usual。 。。。more

Another fast paced and compelling read from James Patterson。The women’s murder club returns with all our favourite members 。Although this story mainly features Lindsay Boxer and her partner Joe。Gun smuggling and suicide ( or is it? ) are just part of the threads in this book。Another addictive read! I have adored Lindsay Boxer from the very beginning and it feels like I know her as much as one of my friends。 Which is the best way to love a character。 Lindsay and Joe get to work together with this next installment of The Women's Murder Club and it never disappoints。 Lindsay's life has been on the line several times before but this time its different。 With the new gun law in California the illegal running of firearms is strife and with the gun smuggling also comes with the smuggling of drugs。 I have adored Lindsay Boxer from the very beginning and it feels like I know her as much as one of my friends。 Which is the best way to love a character。 Lindsay and Joe get to work together with this next installment of The Women's Murder Club and it never disappoints。 Lindsay's life has been on the line several times before but this time its different。 With the new gun law in California the illegal running of firearms is strife and with the gun smuggling also comes with the smuggling of drugs。What Lindsay, Joe and the team will certainly end in disaster but who will come out alive? 。。。more

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an ARC of 22 Seconds by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro!!This is the first book I have read in this series and I really enjoyed it! I have to admit that I got very fed up with James Patterson's books due to the amount of white space in them due to the very short chapters。 This is the only series I've kept up with and still enjoy。The main thread of this story is about a new gun law banning automatic and semi automatics for the general population。 Consequently the gun lobby are up in arms (sorry!) and there is a lot of bad feeling around。 Add to this the rumours of a huge consignment of guns and drugs coming in from Mexico。Lin I have to admit that I got very fed up with James Patterson's books due to the amount of white space in them due to the very short chapters。 This is the only series I've kept up with and still enjoy。The main thread of this story is about a new gun law banning automatic and semi automatics for the general population。 Consequently the gun lobby are up in arms (sorry!) and there is a lot of bad feeling around。 Add to this the rumours of a huge consignment of guns and drugs coming in from Mexico。Lindsey's team are investigating the murders of ex-cops connected with Ted Swanson, a corrupt cop who is currently incarcerated in San Quentin。 When he is found dead, allegedly a suicide, the investigation hots up and Lindsey and Joe start receiving threats。 When Cindy is punched in the face, and given a message for Lindsey the threat level is heightened。I found the story jumped about a little bit, but I was able to follow it。 As with all this series, it's wrapped and tied with a bow at the end。 。。。more

If you've read the previous books in this series you will love returning to find out whats been happening with the Women's Murder Club。You would think that James Patterson and Maxine Paetro would be running out of ideas for Lindsay and the gang - but once again they've knocked it out of the park with a heart pounding, adrenaline fuelled storyline that makes you go - I'll just read one more chapter! My only issue with this book was the sudden ending to the story - it seemed to wrap up a bit too qu If you've read the previous books in this series you will love returning to find out whats been happening with the Women's Murder Club。You would think that James Patterson and Maxine Paetro would be running out of ideas for Lindsay and the gang - but once again they've knocked it out of the park with a heart pounding, adrenaline fuelled storyline that makes you go - I'll just read one more chapter! My only issue with this book was the sudden ending to the story - it seemed to wrap up a bit too quickly for me and I would have loved to have had a bit more at the end。Overall another fantastic book from this best selling duo, and I can't wait to see what's in store for the Women's Murder Club next! 。。。more

I am an avid fan of James Patterson both as a solo author and the books he co-authors。  This is book 22 in The Women’s Murder Club series co-authored with Maxine Paetro and it is, in my opinion the best of his series of books and I have read them all。  The characters are all well rounded and whilst called the Women’s murder club it also has strong male repeating characters which makes this series addictive。In this book Lyndsey and fellow officers are dealing with changes in the automatic weapons I am an avid fan of James Patterson both as a solo author and the books he co-authors。  This is book 22 in The Women’s Murder Club series co-authored with Maxine Paetro and it is, in my opinion the best of his series of books and I have read them all。  The characters are all well rounded and whilst called the Women’s murder club it also has strong male repeating characters which makes this series addictive。In this book Lyndsey and fellow officers are dealing with changes in the automatic weapons law making them unlawful and requiring all guns to be handed in。  They then discover that there is a drugs and guns cartel operating out of Mexico。  As with most of the books in this series there is a “bad cop”, a “bad ex-cop” and other unsavoury characters。Lyndsey’s friend, Medical examiner Claire has been called to assist in a harrowing autopsy of a six year old girl and her Journalist Cindy is struggling having been tasked by a serial killer from an earlier book with writing a gruesome biography and is struggling with writing about the atrocities carried out by the serial killer。This is another fast paced, page turning book in this unmissable series which I highly recommend and whilst this can be read in isolation I would highly recommend that the readers read all of the books in the series。 Thanks to Netgalley UK and publishers Random House UK, Cornerstone and Century for an advanced ARC copy in exchange for a fair and unbiased review 。。。more

There is serendipity and the investigators always seem to be on the right track with their theorising and plans, so perhaps not so realistic, but it gives the novel constant forward propulsion and the reader great satisfaction as the bad guys gradually get their just deserts。22 Seconds is a good read that I have no hesitation in recommending。 。。。more
